ANALYSE AND REPORT LIVE TV SHOW 2

I will be analysing the show mock the week. The likely size of the studio is 50:50. The seating is Host in the middle and 3 talent either side of them. the audience is seated in front of them on raised stands. The set looks good with a long desk that seats all the talent and host. It does restrict cameras from doing an over the shoulder shot but other than that i cant see it restricting any other camera shots. The set looks move able they would probably take it apart after the show and put it into storage for when they next need it. It doesn't look like it would take long to set it up. shouldn't take more than a few hours to do. They use 6 cameras for this show. Theres a camera fixed to a crane which makes a very intesresting movement after the opening titles. There is the camera infront of the host with the auto cue on it, 4 floor cameras theres 2 either side of the talent and 2 opposite to the auto cue. the auto cue camera will be in a fixed position while the other 4 cameras will be on peds and moveable. The talent an host are fixed with radio mics which are omnidirectional these will pick up any audio from them. The audience will have a mic above them this will be fixed to the rig and most likely be a shotgun mic.
The set is a mix of purple red and blue colours which goes well with the blue desk it looks good on the screen. In the middle behind the host is a big World with the mock the week logo on it. This makes the host stand out and you know they are the host as the talent all have to same type of background behind them. The lighting rig doesnt look like it would be to complex but it is big enough to light the studio correctly. The light levels are fixed an do not change during the show there fixed in the same position.
The crew would be of about 18-22 people 6 cam ops, 6 cam asis, sound op, sound asis, DVD op, FM, Asis FM, Asis DIR, DIRECTOR and a vision switcher. The show is in a studio location. There are many different shots. There are 3 shots of the talent 2 shots and MCU of talent. there is also some 4 shots of the host an talent. There is some wide shots of the entire talent and host when they look to the big tv screen for VT inserts.
For the show there would be some health an safety issues to consider. How easily acessible the fire escape is for everyone to safely leave. Of the camera cables are going to create a tripping hazzard. The general format of the show is Q&A, it doesnt really stick to a rigid format its very loose there is a lot of banter between the 2 teams of talent and the host. the host is some what scripted for the questions but otherwise they mostly ad lib for the show. The host of the show tone is just like one of the talent they exchange banter an jokes also they dont seem like the overpowering quiz show host. The title sequence is just lots of clips from what has happend the past week which works well as it sticks to the style of show. They have a song in the background of it which also works well with the style. They have some VT inserts in the show to help put questions these are just short clips of recent things that have happend. The audience for this show are young generation around the ages of 16 - 23 as it is up to date topics an news that they do talk about. And they do have popular comedians on the show which attract younger audiences. Because they will regognise them and want to watch the show because they are generally funny people. So it will appeal to people aged 16 - 23.
