STUDIO EQUIPMENT ITS FUNCTIONS AND OPERATION

In the studio we have Sony Z5's There A High Defenition studio camera. In our studio there attached to peds which help move them around.
There are many different types of Microphones. There are clip mics that clip to the talent or host. They are omni directional which means they pick up sound from all around. There are shotgun mics which are usualy placed above an audience, to pick up clapping an laughter. Rifle mics that target one direction of sound.

There is also the lighting rig, it has several different lights on it. A spot light, it lights up a certain spot like the host. Its whats called a hard light because it casts a hard shadow a hard shadow is a shadow that isnt soft around the edges.
A soft light, fills in the shadows made by the spot light.
A backlight, is a hardlight which makes the talent stand out more and gives them a sort of outline.
The studio lights are tungsten bulbs and the spot lights have a 1,000 watt power. each lights have barn doors they stop the light spilling out and effecting the lighting in the studio.
A dimmer pack controls all the power going to the lights.
All the equipment in the studio leads into a stop box. The stop box makes all the equipment into the control room. So vision switchers can see what the camera's are seeing.
