CREW ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

there are many roles in Multi-cam production I will list them an write abit about the roles an responsibilities

CAM OP - These control the main camera's used for filming the shows. There responsibility is to make sure they have the correct interesting shots needed and are ready for when the director cuts to them that there shot is ready. And also to anticipate what the director would want.

CAM OP ASIS - There role is to help out the CAM OPs work the camera. This would include moving wires out the way helping to move the camera so its easier to get around the studio.

SOUND DIRECTOR - There role is to make sure the sound on the mics are equal so there not to loud or to quiet. Also if there are any VT inserts to make sure the sound levels of them are not to loud or quiet.
SOUND ASIS- There role is to help out the SOUND DIRECTOR this would be, putting clip mics onto the talent and sound checking them.

FLOOR MANAGER - Is the directors voice on the floor. They make sure everyone is ready and knows what there doing. There responsibility is to tell the audience where the exits are in case of an emergency. And help out any other people working on the floor. Like moving things out the way which may effect performance an quality.

VISION SWITCHER - The vision switcher controls whats on screen. There job is to switch between different Camera's and on to VT inserts, when the director asks them to do so. There responsibility is to be able to this on time quickly. They need to be careful with the VT inserts to do it on time so they don't get the information at the beginning of the VT
