DIRECTING AND DIRECTORS CALLS
The director is in charge of the whole production. They usually have planned out shots before the show and camera movements. Directors must make clear calls to what they want. The director will say clearly over the talk backs commands. So for example if he wanted the vision switcher to cut to camera 4. They would say 'Cam 4. Cut' Then the vision switcher would cut to cam 4. If the sound seemed to loud they would ask the sound mixer to lower the levels.
